Eaton’s Lighting Division Restructures

Patrick Walker, VP & GM Outdoor and Connected Communities and Jeff Bucar, VP MK Solutions and Services have left the company.  Bart Ideker, VP Supply Chain and Quality, is moving to a different division of Eaton.

The following is an internal memo from Eaton’s Lighting Division President, Kraig Kasler obtained by the EdisonReport:

The pace of change continues to accelerate across the lighting industry.   The traditional lighting markets we serve have slowed over recent quarters while the demand for our new connected lighting solutions continue to grow in buildings, communities and homes.  In order to meet this broad range of growing industry and customer requirements, we have evaluated our organizational structure to position us for success in 2018 and beyond.   These changes will simplify our structure to accelerate decision making while increasing the agent, channel and customer focus of our commercial teams.   Additionally, as we move from a business that sells products to a more technical solutions business with connected lighting, these changes better align our product and service organizations to enable the speed and ease of doing business results our customers demand.   Below is a summary of the changes to our commercial leadership team:

  • Our Customer Fulfillment organization will now report to Ken Walma in addition to his existing Connected Buildings organization.
  • Our Connected Communities team will now report to Brad Paine in addition to his Connected Homes organization.
  • Our Ephesus team will now report to Peter Fehl in addition to handling his current business development responsibilities.

All three of these leaders will continue to report directly to me and will be located in Peachtree City, Georgia.  I am confident that we have the right structure, talent and alignment to drive the strategy and strong execution our customers demand.   Please join me in wishing the team much success and supporting them in their new roles.
