Manufacturing / Sustaining Engineer–Intense Lighting

Intense Lighting, an architectural lighting manufacturer is seeking to fill a Manufacturing/Sustaining Engineer position at its company headquarters in Anaheim, CA.  Reporting directly to the COO, this position requires active involvement with production, engineering, purchasing and quality control.

Responsibilities:

  • To assist in the production of light fixtures in both a Lean Cell and Linear assembly environment.
  • Improve efficiencies in the production assembly
  • Design and implement necessary changes or modifications to existing products
  • Maintain project scheduling to meet product launch dates.
  • Work with cross functional teams identifying opportunities to create efficiencies.
  • Assist in the development of assembly routers and processes.
  • Design and produce production collateral in the support of creating standards.
  • Develop strategic working relationships with offshore factories and sub-contractors

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
  • LED Lighting design experience a plus.
  • Solid Works experience a must.
  • Experience in working with Lean Manufacturing a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment and stay positive.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with UL Standards, Energy Star, CE and CCC a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and create jigs/fixtures to increase efficiencies.
  • Great Plains experience a plus.
