Automotive Regional Sales Manager–Cree

We currently have an opening for an Regional Sales Manager East – Automotive, within our Cree LED Lighting group.  This position will be based in the Eastern part of the United States, near a major airport. 

SUMMARY:

The primary focus of this position is to be an salesperson of Cree Lighting to strategic customers in the Automotive market vertical(s) and drive revenue growth, forecasting and development of, and an on-going evolution of, an overall sales plan. The position will require close collaboration with members of the Cree Lighting commercial & industrial team, marketing, product development, and customer service, while maintaining a relationship with management and engineering personnel, applications personnel, production and manufacturing staff. The position will entail up to 70 – 75% domestic travel to meet key customers and distribution partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet and exceed sales revenue targets for assigned markets
  • Drive inputs for the key marketing materials/VOC for assigned markets
  • Facilitate new customer setup with customer service/accounting and collaborate to resolve credit hold issues.
  • Prepare product forecasts based on input from assigned and prospect customers
  • Assist in development of pricing structures for strategic national accounts
  • Actively input and routinely update sales progress in Salesforce.com.
  • Correspond with assigned customers and/or distributors on shipment confirmation, tracking information, and product returns.
  • Understand dynamics of key customers in your assigned market and adjust sales plan and approach accordingly
  • Coordinate projects from Application Engineering to Quotation
  • Coordinate shipments to job sites as required.
  • Collaborate with key internal support agencies (quotes department, Application Engineering, etc) to ensure superior customer service and response time for aligned customers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree or equivalent industry work experience required.
  • Computer skills – Outlook, Excel, Internet Research, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Sales/Inside Sales, Sales Support, or relevant other experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-5 years of experience in the lighting industry.
