Company Description: SPI Lighting in Mequon, WI, a brand of Bukas Lighting Group (BLG), is seeking a President to elevate and lead the growth of this iconic family-owned lighting brand.  SPI is an innovative leader in performance architectural lighting, with standout capabilities in designing and manufacturing made-to-order luminaires that enable the design community to turn vision into reality.

Essential Functions: This role requires appreciating and connecting with our customers’ needs and strengthening business systems for sustainable growth. The President is the General Manager across all aspects of SPI’s business, including brand and sales management, product strategy, operational approach, and diligent P&L management.  The interested candidate should be able to demonstrate a history of driving organizational and system change while maintaining a keen sense of the impact to the customer experience and the bottom line

As part of the BLG family of brands, SPI is in the unique position to chart its own path to continued success while also participating in and benefiting from being a part of a larger enterprise.  The President holds the responsibility to lead SPI’s engagement in activities that will support both SPI and BLG while firmly retaining critical brand independence.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the SPI leadership team and collaborate with BLG to articulate and deploy strategies for growth and business performance.
  • Collaborate to establish and deliver on revenue, EBITDA, and working capital goals
  • Drive results through outcome-based short-term and long-term objectives that are designed to meet strategic goals.
  • Establish and align KPIs across the organization that lead to improved business results, customer experience, and workplace excellence.
  • Align SPI’s vision with forecasts and plans for capital expenditure and headcount. Work closely with sales, accounting, human resources, and operations to establish future business plan scenarios that promote greater market share and profitability.
  • Establish and lead sales strategies
  • Comfortably and confidently represent the company as required, including attendance at important functions, industry events, and public meetings
  • Evaluate and improve the performance of team members, establishing performance measures and personal developmental goals, monitoring performance, and coaching.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years in executive role or minimum eight years in other relevant senior executive position in the lighting industry
  • Undergraduate degree required. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated capability to manage the full P&L
