We received a statement from Sean Gaydos, President of USAI Lighting:
“We are very excited to announce our new partnership with Electric Lighting Agencies (ELA) as our representative in the New York metro and Northern New Jersey markets. ELA is renowned for their industry expertise, exceptional customer support, and strong relationships within the lighting community. We’re confident this new alliance will further strengthen USAI’s presence and bring tremendous value to our clients in these key regions. This partnership represents an exciting new chapter, and we can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together.”
“At the same time, we want to express our sincere appreciation to SDA Lighting & Controls for the many years of partnership and collaboration. We value the work we’ve done together and wish them continued success moving forward.”
Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this article included a statement about the contribution of these two regions to USAI’s overall sales. Sean has clarified that while USAI does not disclose financial data, the figure previously reported was inaccurate and has been removed from the story.
Updated: 11:55 EST. EdisonReport has learned that USAI Lighting and SDA Lighting & Controls have separated their long-term relationship as USAI Lighting has hired Electric Lighting Agencies (ELA) to represent them in the New York metro market. We have also learned that ELA will replace Diversified in the Northern New Jersey market. Diversified will continue to represent USAI in the Philadelphia market.
Melissa Deutsch Stein, CEO of SDA told me, “Our very longstanding relationship with USAI is ending, we will continue to provide the high level of service to the NY/NJ lightning community. We have many wonderful down lighting and cylinder options that we are honored to represent.”
