Janet Cecchettini is a Lighting Certified (LC) professional with extensive experience designing and delivering impactful learning programs for the lighting industry.
She is an accomplished public speaker recognized for delivering engaging, story-driven presentations grounded in extensive, real-world industry experience. Her proven ability to reimagine curriculum and inspire diverse audiences drives knowledge retention and professional growth. Her passion is delivering just-in-time learning—ranging from foundational lighting education for industry newcomers and apprenticeship programs, to energy code compliance guidance for facility owners, and exploration of emerging topics in light and human health for professionals pursuing continuing education.
Janet’s perspective is shaped by a broad career spanning training and education, lighting design and applications engineering, sales, sales management, project management and customer service. She has worked across lighting manufacturers, lighting agencies, and electrical distributors, giving her an inclusive understanding of the industry.
Janet also brings hands-on experience scaling, organizing, validating, and delivering learning content. She has led the customization, launch, management, and content migration of six learning management systems (LMSs), and has developed automated processes to streamline and authenticate certificate delivery for seven professional organizations. She continues to pursue the “holy grail”: a content management system capable of automating cross-platform lifecycle management of technical documentation, knowledge bases, and eLearning content.
She is seeking a full-time opportunity with a lighting manufacturer, distributor or industry association that aims to elevate its impact and position itself as a thought leader. Janet brings deep expertise in developing and delivering instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning content that engages and inspires associates, partners, and customers.
Currently based in Atlanta, Janet is open to relocation or remote/hybrid roles with up to 50% travel.
