Earlier today, Light+Building sent out an email addressing safety at the upcoming Light+Building event in Frankfurt. They shared the following message.
| Dear Sir or Madam,
We are monitoring developments in the Middle East closely. For Light + Building, due to the current geopolitical situation and the closure of airspace, we must assume that some visitors from the Middle East region may not be able to travel at short notice. In the past, visitor groups from the Near and Middle East played a minor role and accounted for a maximum of three percent. Airlines from China, India, Central Asia and Southeast Asia are able to use Russian airspace. Your safety, as well as that of all visitors and employees at the Frankfurt exhibition grounds is our top priority. We are in close contact with the relevant authorities and our security partners here in Germany and continuously assess the situation. Based on the current assessment, there is no security risk at the event location. Existing security measures have been reviewed and are appropriate. We are continuously monitoring the rapidly evolving situation in the region and will take immediate action if necessary. Best regards |
Stay tuned for further updates and event coverage.
