Agents Celebrate a Career in Lighting for Jeff Bucar

Jeff Bucar retired from Eaton Lighting earlier this year after 39 years with McGraw, Cooper, and Eaton Lighting.  Jeff began his career at McGraw-Edison in 1978 in Human Resources.  After 8 years in HR he moved into a regional management position at McGraw-Edison and Halo covering the Midwest and South region.  In 1991 Jeff became the Brand Manager for Halo and the emergency and exit business.  It was during his tenure in this position that the brands of Portfolio and Iris were developed.  In 2000 Fritz Zeck tapped Jeff to be the VP of Sales for all of Cooper Lighting.  Jeff remained in that position until 2006 when he became the VP of Marketing Service and Solutions until his retirement this past March.

Mr. Bucar’s celebration was held in Chicago at 7 Lions on Michigan Ave on Sept 20, 2018.  The event was sponsored by Jeff’s longtime agency friends at Ardd+Winter (GA), Lighting Dynamics (FL), Texas Lighting, SCI Lighting Solutions (CA), Chesapeake Lighting (MD/DC), Cal Lighting (CA), Reflex Lighting (MA), Lighting Associates (MO), Wells Keown (LA), and Enterprise Lighting & Control (WI).

Also, in attendance were former Cooper Industries CEO Kirk Hachigian, former Halo/McGraw Executive VP-President Greg Hege, former Halo/McGraw VP of Manufacturing Bob Rager, Former Viking Electric Supply (Sonepar) President Greg Hames, and many others lighting dignitaries.

Mr. Bucar will now be working as a consultant for Canopach with emphasis on the electrical and lighting industries.
