Area Lighting Sales Manager — Kenall Manufacturing

The Area Lighting Sales Manager will use their experience with lighting applications in the commercial and infrastructure outdoor lighting market to successfully fulfill the company’s growth strategies, profitability, and market development initiatives for new construction, lighting renovation, and lighting controls. This position will interact between sales channels and the specification community and will also correspond directly with the end use customer in the Utility, DOT, Municipal, and Educational markets. Qualified candidates may have the ability to work from home. Additional responsibilities include:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop an annual sales plan with regional sales forecasting for the Utility, DOT, Municipal, and Educational markets
  • Promote and maintain successful and profitable business relationships with current and prospective customers
  • Establish new relationships in the Commercial and Infrastructure market and create/manage all aspects of lighting, from concept to completion
  • Effectively demonstrate to our target markets the importance of LED and connected lighting solutions in promoting public safety, resource management, and reduced costs associated with maintenance and operations
  • Keep current with legislative standards and regulations relating to outdoor lighting products and ensure our product development teams are current on developing standards
  • Lead educational initiatives in our target markets and support national and regional standards groups that are driving lighting standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; preferably in business, marketing or engineering
  • 1 to 2 years of lighting product marketing experience
  • A minimum 10 years of experience in lighting sales into the Utility, DOT, Municipal, Educational market
  • Thorough understanding of lighting technology, lighting application, and capable of communicating the effectiveness of the Kenall outdoor lighting product portfolio in meeting minimum performance requirements and creating a supportive visual environment
  • Advanced analytical capability and understanding of business finance
