Area Sales Manager – Ubicquia

Ubicquia offers municipalities, utilities and broadband service providers and lighting manufactures a cost-effective and expandable platform for deploying simply connected, simply smart broadband, small cell and smart city services. Our plug and play network has the ability to turn any street light into a multi-function router that supports a growing list of services that include advanced lighting controls, public W-FI and the connection of 3rd party smart city applications including air quality monitoring and surveillance Cameras.

We ae expanding our Field Sales Team and looking for Area Sales Managers for Western U.S. – based in major market west of Colorado.

Reporting: Reports to the Regional Sales Director

Responsibilities:

· Meet and exceed all sales targets

· Quickly ramp up sales pipeline

· Build and manage a multi-state sales territory in order to drive sales of Ubicquia Smart City, IOT and 5G products and solutions

· Establish agent/partner channel for assigned sales territory

· Establish key relationships with prime project partners to position Ubicquia as a key technology partner

· Identify and contact potential customer targets for new business-drive sales activity with sales echo system within your area

· Work with agent and partner channel to provide expertise and technical support for end user meetings with Utilities, Municipalities, Airports, Enterprise accounts and other targeted customer segments

· Own relationships and continued education with key firms that assist end users with project specifications

· Monitor competitive market data to be able to differentiate Ubicaquia solutions within assigned sales area and adjust sales strategy as needed

· Evaluate agent network, analyze performance and develop recommendations for improvement as needed

· Provide training to agent and partner channel

· Direct and manage tradeshows, seminars and local promotions

· Ability to travel assigned sales territory 50% +/-

· Ability to work remote out of home office

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 4 to 7 years proven outdoor lighting controls experience or IOT or Smart City sales experience

· Keen understanding of the Smart City Ecosystem

· Past sales performance within the assigned sales territory, understanding of markets

· Current and past experience selling within the public sector and utility segments with keen understanding of public procurement process

· Experience selling into the enterprise space

· Large complex project sales experience with elongated sales cycle

· Cooperative, self-motivated, independent, goal oriented, loves to win/hates to lose

· Proven success in negotiations and problem solving, excellent follow-through follow up skills

· Agent and Partner experience

· Ability to understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions

· Excellent presentation skills

· Consultative sales approach
