Overview

Enel X has an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager, North America. The candidate is responsible for building and overseeing the planning, development, and execution of the North America e-City strategies and tactical business growth objectives. The candidate should have a successful history of sourcing and closing new business directly with customers while maintaining relationship with our channel partners. The overall goal of the Business Development Manager, North America is to close new business directly and/or with channel partner sourced leads that meet an aggressive quarterly and annual sales plan. Day to day responsibilities include sourcing and management of channel partner relationships and directly closing business associated with leads provided by channel partners.

Responsibilities

    • • Develop and execute short/medium/long-term business plans, strategies, and tactics to grow the business; engage with the customers in technical as well as business investigations
    • • Orchestrate sales push campaigns (strategic or tactical) that bring upside to direct or adjacent market pursuits
    • • Identify potential partners in industry, academia, or government for new pursuits, innovative smart city solutions and portfolio offering growth
    • • Prepare and present financially-driven sales proposals and presentations to prospective customers
    • • Identify potential innovative inorganic growth and technical / engineering opportunities discovery in compliance with budget and strategic guidelines
    • • Deep sales expertise and seniority, with technical sales support experiences
    • • Commercial experiences with Government entities is preferred
    • • Prior engineering experience in energy efficiency/lighting technologies and business are considered as a plus
    • • Deep knowledge in terms of economic and financial management
    • • Experience with utility and energy service industries
    • • Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Office (mainly Excel) and data analysis tools

Qualifications:

    • • 10+ years of well-rounded engineering, marketing, business development and technical sales experience in positions of increasing responsibility with a focus on business winning
    • • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, eventually Business or Marketing ; MBA preferred
    • • Sales attitudes and business development approach
