Hawthorne, NJ (September 27, 2021) – CAST Lighting LLC®, a leader in residential and commercial landscape lighting solutions, announced today that it has resolved all claims of patent infringement by its competitor, Wangs Alliance Corp. d//b/a WAC Lighting. WAC has agreed to dismiss its case against CAST in United States District Court as well as an investigation in the International Trade Commission (ITC). Both cases involved patents in the field of landscape lighting.
CAST has consistently denied infringement of any of WAC’s patents and defended itself vigorously against WAC’s accusations. As part of the settlement, WAC has agreed not to assert any of the patents in suit against CAST’s exciting new and soon-to-be released line of landscape lighting products intended to replace its legacy SBLABL1 Adjustable LED Beam and Lumen Spotlight.
