Chicago Streetscape Sparkles with Color from North Star LED’s

Chicago, IL, April 22, 2013: Creativity not typically associated with roadway improvements sparkled when Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel flipped the switch lighting the Congress Parkway Streetscape.

The Streetscape features 600 LED lights with a color palate of 16 million combinations illuminating trellises and LED towers that stretch a half mile along the Congress Parkway to glittering Michigan Avenue. Chicago has one of the most beautiful stretches of “white way” lighting in the world on Michigan Avenue. The Streetscape programmable light show pays for itself in further attracting business, greater real estate values, and foot traffic.
