GE Names Deron Miller as Current Chief Revenue Officer; Replaces Jamie Irick

Deron.jpgEdisonReport can confirm that  Current, Powered by GE has named Deron Miller as its new Chief Revenue Officer. According to his Linked In profile, Miller has been the Executive Vice President of Enlighted for the past two years.

“I am pleased to announce that Deron Miller will join Current as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), reporting to me effective Jan 17. 

Deron is a proven enterprise software senior sales executive with an excellent track record of successful sales, management and executive experience in the technology industry. Under his leadership, he will help us continue building a world class digital industrial sales force and supporting ITO capability.

Deron comes to Current from Enlighted, Inc.  He served as Enlighted’s Executive VP of Sales for North America helping customers reach long-range sustainability by using sensor and analytics platforms to provide smart energy solutions for commercial buildings.  He led all sales channels driving impressive revenue growth while bringing Enlighted’s Internet of Things application to Smart Buildings at more than 200 customer sites. He also oversaw the expansion of Enlighted’s newly launched Global Energy Optimization (GEO) program, an innovative Energy Savings-as-a-Service model for LED lighting and controls.

Deron’s experience includes 25+ years of leadership, expertise and innovation with numerous leading brands and digital platforms. Prior to his role at Enlighted, he served as Senior VP of Sales at MicroStrategy, a leading provider of enterprise software platforms for business intelligence, mobile intelligence, and social intelligence applications. He was also SVP of Sales at Nuance Communications where he was recognized for his instrumental role in growing their Americas Sales from $100M to $400M in 2 years.  He has also held executive-level management positions at Macromedia and Adobe Systems post acquisition by Adobe.
