LightFair and IES SALC will Require Vaccinations; Per CDC, U.S. is at 51.7% Fully Vaccinated

From the LightFair website:

This policy puts LightFair in compliance with the new NYC ordinance:  “As of August 17, people 12 and older are required to show proof they have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine authorized for emergency use by the FDA or WHO for:… Indoor entertainment…convention centers, exhibition halls.”

IES Vaccination Policy for In-Person SALC Attendance

The Illuminating Engineering Society takes the health and safety of its members, staff, and event attendees very seriously. After careful consideration, the IES Board of Directors has decided to allow in-person attendance at this year’s SALC by fully-vaccinated individuals only, and to offer a virtual attendance option that is available to everyone.

SALC is committed to the safety of its registrants and organizers. We continue to monitor federal and state guidance on face coverings, and intend to comply with applicable guidance at the time of the conference. As of this writing, approximately 51.7% of the US Population is fully vaccinated.
