Industry Veteran, Susan Larson, Launches 90+ Lighting

Save Energy Announces New North American Division with High CRI Products: 90+ Lighting

San Diego, California, May 1, 2018  Save Energy announced today the June 1, 2018 launch of its North American division, 90+ Lighting. Based in San Diego, the company will offer only products that are 90+ CRI, R9>50 and flicker<30%.

90+ Lighting’s lamps and retrofit fixtures are approved by the California Energy Commission’s (CEC) stringent JA8/Title 24 standards for lighting quality, as well as CEC Title 20 standards for high efficacy. The products are also listed by Energy Star or` Design Lights Consortium (DLC).

According to Save Energy founder Douglas Pezzi, “The advent of LEDs many years ago saw a lot of inferior early stage lighting products that turned off customers with high cost and poor quality. We want to take the guesswork out of buying high quality LED products. Now that LED technology has matured and improved, we can fully deliver on the promise of this technology and provide high quality of light, dependability, efficiency, and affordability in one product line. With 90+ LED lamps and fixtures, the customer is guaranteed to get the best of all worlds.”

The new company will be headed by Susan Larson, who assumes the role of CEO.  Ms. Larson has over 30 years of experience in lighting, with 15 years developing LED products. She was formerly Vice President at Soraa, where she helped to launch the company in 2012 and built its brand with legendary MR16 lamps and superior quality of light. She recently drove Soraa’s entry into the luminaire business with an innovative line of directional luminaires named ARC. Ms. Larson said “90+ Lighting will go to market with key lighting agents and electrical distributors. We will focus on offering a full range of high CRI products at competitive price points. We will meet a crucial need in the marketplace to narrow the gap between high light quality and affordable pricing.”
