Inside Sales Manager – Vantage Lighting

The Inside Sales Manager, reporting directly to the VP – Sales, Marketing & Service, has leadership responsibility for all inside sales and customer service activities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee quotations and order entry functions; manages and reports on productivity of the Inside Sales & Customer Service Dept
  • Oversees inside sales phone call and email campaigns to targeted contacts in your direct reports assigned accounts; reports on productivity of such campaigns
  • Oversees execution of product demonstration and other Skype / Webinar campaigns; reports on productivity of such campaigns
  • Manages company’s customer service ticketing system to ensure SLAs (Service Level Agreement) are met; ensure timeliness and quality of customer service ticket responses
  • Maintains high levels of communication with customers regarding status of proposals
  • Directs Inside Sales & Customer Service dept priorities, policies and processes
  • Ensures all materials are priced timely, completely and accurately with appropriate margin
  • Maintain excellent player / coach balance; covers for team members as needed
  • Analyzes bid requirements to identify correct product options
  • Provide quotations for Vantage Lighting products to assigned accounts
  • Execute sales calls and email campaigns to targeted contacts in assigned accounts
  • Regularly deliver previously developed training webinars to targeted contacts and/or groups in assigned accounts
  • Perform Skype / Facetime calls to develop deep relationships with strategic contacts in assigned accounts
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to define effective sales engagement tactics for assigned accounts
  • Enter all product orders issued to Vantage from your assigned sales region; ensure order accuracy
  • Oversees distribution of product literature; ensure team members keep resellers equipped with necessary sales tools
  • Oversees sales project pipeline in company’s CRM system, ensures direct reports update CRM timely and accurately, ensure quote follow up and related updates to CRM records
  • Ensure Estimated Ship Date Reports are delivered timely and accurately to agents on weekly basis
  • Master the company’s product line to effectively sell the product and train direct reports on products

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-3 years of related experience in technology driven company; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in lighting industry preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Accountable; reliable and passionate about doing his or her part to ensure the success of all people in the company
  • Experience managing a team of inside sales professionals
  • Extensive experience with CRM software
  • Extroverted, customer-centric personality
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills; efficient and accurate written communication obligatory
  • Collaborative mindset – ability to energize and activate plans across team members
  • Ability to multitask, complete tasks with tight deadlines
  • Ability to learn, articulate, and support complex products and technologies
  • Curious mindset and unwillingness to accept unexpected results; Investigates to fully understand and prevent future problems
  • Located within commuting distance of Vantage’s East Providence, RI headquarters
