While technically competitors, both firms were marketing to very different market segments, each successful in their own specialty areas. As the firms continued to grow and evolve, overlap in this otherwise cordial market space started to overlap. Rather than compete, the firms made the decision to merge creating greater economies of scale and adding to the current strength of Lighting Associates, Inc – a lighting sales and design firm in the Houston market or over 53 years. The result will me a greater depth of market and increased sales for the manufacturers that we represent, while adding another layer of diversity and increased customer service for our clients
Lauren Hall the current owner of SLC will transition to LAI as the VP of sales for the Medical and Education vertical markets. A Native of Texas, Lauren has worked in the Greater Houston Market place since 2011. She holds various certifications for Historically Underutilized Businesses including HUB, SBA WOSB, WBENC and MBE. Her knowledge of the lighting industry and special vertical client base will allow her to use the full assets of LAI and the manufactures that we represent to dominate the verticals that she will manage. Lauren will also provide leadership in strategic sales and marketing planning, as well as, playing a key role in meeting the company’s aggressive growth goals The SLC team will be building on the firm’s outstanding reputation for service and delivery to professionals and clients.
