Carlsbad, California – April 8, 2021 – Legrand’s Wattstopper Digital Lighting Management (DLM) product family of networked lighting control devices and network connected systems now meet the DLC Networked Lighting Control System Technical Requirements Version 5, also known as NLC5. The Wattstopper DLM networked lighting control solution leads the industry in the performance, energy efficiency and cybersecurity requirements of the DLC qualified products list.
“Our customers can be confident that Wattstopper connected devices are easy to design, install and operate, and are now matched with the most comprehensive technical and cybersecurity certification available,” said Tom Lowery, President of Building Control Systems Division of Legrand. “Security by Design is a core pillar of the Wattstopper Digital Lighting Management product line and we are proud that our efforts are now recognized by ioXt SmartCert and DLC NLC5 requirements.”
The Wattstopper DLM devices met the NLC5 requirements with a focus on the rigorous cybersecurity standards certification program and were evaluated against each of the eight ioXt pledge principles, with clear guidelines for quantifying the appropriate security level needed for each specific device. The addition of the NLC5 requirements gives engineers, architects and contractors confidence that Legrand lighting control products are secure and meet the industry benchmark for performance and energy efficiency through Secure Commission and Secure Control from installation through ongoing use.
