We were very much looking forward to getting together with you and all national and international guests to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Light + Building, the international platform for lighting and building services technology. Unfortunately, nature has decided that this is not to be.
In view of the situation caused by the corona pandemic worldwide, the resulting bans on events and the travel restrictions mentioned, Messe Frankfurt and its partner associations, the ZVEI and ZVEH, as well as the Exhibitor Advisory Council have decided to hold the next Light + Building in accordance with the established interval from 13 to 18 March 2022.
In cooperation with our partners, we at Messe Frankfurt did everything possible to organise a successful edition of Light + Building this coming autumn. At present, however, nobody can guarantee that it will be possible to hold the event in September or that it will be able to live up to expectations as the world’s leading traded fair for the sector. In particular, travel to Frankfurt is associated with major restrictions or is actually impossible for the majority of international participants.
The health of all event participants, i.e. exhibitors and visitors, has the very highest priority for us. At the same time, we must take the earliest possible steps to ensure that all concerned incur no unnecessary costs. This was not an easy decision to take and we are now focusing all our efforts on ensuring that the next Light + Building in 2022 is a complete success.

We will get in touch with you about the next steps in the coming days. However, we can already say that, in the interests of a successful working relationship in the future, we will be refunding the stand rental in full. At this point, we would like to thank you for your support and loyalty, as well as the optimism you shared with us.
We look forward to seeing you again at Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre to celebrate the 11th edition and 22 years of Light + Building.
