We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced, resourceful, and detail oriented Design Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer to support the Operations and Product Design Engineering Departments.
Responsibilities
- Create new B.O.M.’s for custom configurations and variations of existing products, and maintaining product structures in our MRP system.
- ECN and workflow system management.
- Help with project management for new products design projects
- Liaison with UL and CSA services and conformance inspections.
- Create new parts, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks
- Assist production with wiring and assembly procedures and visual aids.
- Design and make assembly jigs and fixtures to aid in the manufacturing process.
- Maintain and manage engineering documents in Product Data Management system.
- Provide Engineering support to Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Sales/Marketing
- Provide assistance in the lab with testing and managing test data.
Possible opportunity to progress into New Product Design and Development Engineering.
Candidate must be a hands-on, take charge self-motivated individual with the following qualifications, skills, and education:
- Excellent communication skills
- SolidWorks proficiency
- Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software
- Experience wiring, assembling fixtures, and performing quality control tasks
- Knowledge of the lighting industry strongly desired.
- Experienced with MRP system preferred but not required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar position
- Experience in lieu of college degree will be considered
