Operation Engineer / Designer–LumenOptix

We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced, resourceful, and detail oriented Design Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer to support the Operations and Product Design Engineering Departments.

Responsibilities

  • Create new B.O.M.’s for custom configurations and variations of existing products, and maintaining product structures in our MRP system.
  • ECN and workflow system management.
  • Help with project management for new products design projects
  • Liaison with UL and CSA services and conformance inspections. ƒ    
  • Create new parts, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks
  • Assist production with wiring and assembly procedures and visual aids.
  • Design and make assembly jigs and fixtures to aid in the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain and manage engineering documents in Product Data Management system.
  • Provide Engineering support to Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Sales/Marketing
  • Provide assistance in the lab with testing and managing test data.

Possible opportunity to progress into New Product Design and Development Engineering.

Candidate must be a hands-on, take charge self-motivated individual with the following qualifications, skills, and education:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • SolidWorks proficiency
  • Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software
  • Experience wiring, assembling fixtures, and performing quality control tasks
  • Knowledge of the lighting industry strongly desired.
  • Experienced with MRP system preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • ƒ    Minimum of 3 years in a similar position
  • ƒ    Experience in lieu of college degree will be considered
