Regional Sales Manager
Location: Work from anywhere in the territory (Western or Eastern U.S.)

Compensation:

  • $65K – $90K base salary, depending on experience. 
  • Lucrative performance bonus and commission plan

Reports to VP Sales & Marketing, Distribution

Company Description:

Our client is a fast-growing, young, lighting manufacturer, built by a team that is passionate about solar and LED lighting products.  This manufacturer is based in the San Francisco Bay area.  Their extensive LED catalog includes streetlights, area lights, wall packs, and more, both solar-powered and on-grid-powered.

Job Overview:

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified sales executive for the Electrical Distribution channel.  Our client is seeking two energetic, highly motivated sales professional who strives for consistent growth and builds long lasting loyal relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and meet sales quotas
  • Increase bottom line sales
  • Grow market share
  • Manage, train & travel with sales representatives (expect 3 weeks of travel per month)
  • Set up and attend industry trade shows
  • Extensive knowledge of the product line
  • Call on key distributors, contractors, and national accounts
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for the Western territory
  • Review and report on sales activities; make recommendations to VP, Distribution
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time
  • These two positions can be based anywhere in the Western or Eastern U.S., respectively, and require extensive travel

Requirements:

  • Minimum three years sales experience in the lighting industry
  • Minimum three years LED technical sales experience
  • Minimum three years experience selling lighting fixtures to electrical distributors
  • Minimum three years experience managing lighting sales reps
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial lighting and the electrical industry
  • Excellent communication, writing and phone skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
