Relume earns IS0 9001:2008 certification for fourth consecutive year
OXFORD, Mich. – Relume Technologies, a leading manufacturer of light-emitting diode (LED) products and smart-grid control systems for outdoor lighting applications, today announced that it was found to be compliant in its ISO 9001:2008 recertification audit, further demonstrating why the company’s patented family of LED products continues to be the industry standard for outdoor lighting applications in North America.

ISO 9001:2008 is part of the family of standards published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an international body that sets global quality systems requirements for an organization’s quality management system (QMS). Third party reviewers conduct assessments to verify a company’s conformity to ISO 9001:2008 and then issues certificates describing the scope of a company’s QMS and its conformity to ISO 9001:2008.
Relume first received its ISO 9001:2008 certification in October 2009 and has remained compliant for the last two years. The company’s newest ISO 9001:2008 certification will expire October 2015. Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions to a wide range of industries worldwide, has conducted Relume’s third-party audits.
ISO 9001:2008 requirements cover a wide range of topics, including commitment to quality, customer focus, adequacy of resources, employee competence and staff training, sales process management, quality planning, product design, review of incoming orders, calibration of measuring equipment, customer satisfaction, corrective/preventive actions, and ongoing efforts to improving QMS.
