Specification Sales – Exposure Lighting

Role: Specification Sales

Location: Boston, MA

Position: Full Time

Job Description: The specification sales position requires one to establish strong relationship within the specification community (architects, engineers, interior designers, lighting designers) promoting our extensive line card.  Successful candidate must be well organized, professional with strong communication skills. Problem-solving and decision-making skills are also important in this position. Lighting specification sales experience as well as an understanding of the lighting market trends required.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Build & cultivate specifier relationships with assigned firms
    • Identify new opportunities
    • Generate Sales
  • Product presentations- individually & with factories
    • New products or overview
  • Factory Sales calls
  • Communicate with team on leads, current products
  • Respond to all specifiers needs (sample drop off/ pick up, schedules, technical)

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of sales experience in the lighting industry
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Basic working knowledge of Word/Excel – ability to learn other PC applications.
  • Problem solving aptitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of an organization
  • Strong communication skills-verbal and written
  • Proven organizational abilities
  • Ability and initiative to perform with moderate supervision
  • Transportation
