Tom Benton has been named Vice President and General Manager, Commercial & Industrial (“C&I”) Lighting at Hubbell Lighting.
Benton joined Hubbell in 2012 and he has held various leadership positions during his tenure including most recently as the Vice President of Brand Management, C&I Lighting. In his new role Benton will lead Hubbell Lighting’s C&I division.
“Tom has been a cornerstone of our leadership team and brings a wealth of experience, industry knowledge and strategic thought leadership to this critical role,” said Acting Group President Jim Farrell. “Tom has a solid reputation with our agent and channel partners and I’m confident that his leadership and focused attention on our C&I business will continue to strengthen our position in the industry.”
Additionally, Benton will temporarily oversee the Hubbell Lighting C&I Sales organization following the recent departure of Vice President of Sales, Chris Stockton, who has left Hubbell to pursue a new career opportunity within the lighting industry. “We thank Chris for his many contributions at Hubbell and we wish him all the best going forward,” said Benton. “With a fast-expanding portfolio of differentiated new lighting and control solutions and a focus on continually improving the ease of doing business with our customers and best-in-class agents, we are excited for a great 2020.”
