VP, Sales and Marketing – Hess America

VP- Sales / Marketing:

Multi-brand European based company’s North American operation seeking a Sales/Marketing oriented individual to drive growth to the next level.

Next to driving growth, the VP is responsible for North American business and organization, which includes the manufacturing location in South Carolina. Candidate should lead by example, needs to have a strong network in the industry and manage an organization targeting $50M in sales with 80 employees. Position is based at our multi-brand facility in South Carolina, but a minimum of 20% traveling is required.

Minimum 5 years experience lighting fixture experience at the manufacturing level ideally with specification driven, quality products. Critical is a broad knowledge range of lighting products as the Nordeon Group brands target various different segments indoor and outdoor. Also experienced in working with key rep firms in the country.

Manager with entrepreneurial spirit, able to support and thrive in a nimble organization. Must be strong at multi-tasking by interfacing with the sales, engineering and manufacturing teams and comfortable with working with people from a variety of backgrounds and nationalities.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

· Comfortable with Representative based sales force and interface as needed to communicate company goals and culture.

· Guide staff in preparation of product/marketing plan.

· Lead engineering team to develop innovative new products and in solving problems.

· Direct Operations Managers to achieve companies’ operational objectives.

· Work with Finance Director to generate budgets and meet financial goals.

· Lead Purchasing Department to generate vendor base.

· Experience with direct National Account business is a plus.

Education and experience:

· Minimum Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Marketing.

· MBA is a plus

· 10 years experience

· National and some international travel

· Successful sales record

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Demonstrated ability to think/function outside the box in problem solving.

· Solid technical skills

· Exhibit proficiency with Microsoft word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook

· Ability to interface effectively with key clients

· Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking
