Sales Manager–PLC Multipoint

PLC Multipoint, Inc. is a privately held company located in Everett, WA.  PLC has been the leader in photo-based lighting controls for over 20 years.  We are looking for a dynamic new Sales Manager who is ready to lead PLC through its next growth phase.  The successful candidate will have demonstrated a high level of performance in the Lighting or Lighting Controls industry.  This candidate will be able to accurately project PLC’s message of energy savings through well engineered products.  The Sales Manager will be the primary interface between PLC and our customers which include Lighting System Manufacturers, ESCOs, Representatives, Distributors, Engineers, and Building Owners.

This position requires:

Bachelor Degree (MBA preferred)

Technical background or demonstrated technical grasp of electrical and control principles.

Proficient knowledge of principles of sales and marketing strategies.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint

Functional knowledge of electrical drawings and CAD (AutoCAD preferred)

Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001 preferred)

Excellent written and verbal use of the English language.

Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

Ability to work closely with diverse groups of people.

Ability to work independently and with little direct supervision.

Experience:

The successful candidate will have Five (5) years’ experience as sales, marketing, product manager or related role and three (3) years’ experience with lighting products or controls in a sales related position.

Primary Duties include:

Assess market needs and develop strategy for product sales.

Develop quoting procedures and pricing schemes to meet revenue and profitability goals.

Develop sales plans, forecasts, policies and procedures to maximize the efficiencies of the company’s marketing efforts.

Make decisions and take actions as necessary to insure that lead generation and sales goals are met on a monthly basis by Channel Sales Managers and channel partners.

Provide praise and critical feedback to personnel in the organization and formal evaluation of performance to those who report to you.

Travel Requirements:

The Sales Manager will be required to travel approximately 50% of the time.
