Citing Tariffs, RAB Announces Price Increase of 8% to 14%

EdisonReport has published price increases from most of the Tier I luminaire manufacturers. We are especially excited to see price increases from companies like RAB as they do a very good job on those white good commodity type products. If companies like RAB did not raise prices, it would be very hard for the Tier I increases to stick.
As the LED industry reaches maturity, and RIF’s become more common and some companies exit the industry altogether such as Envirobrite, Noribachi, Kobi, and SLV (and a fifth one is on the brink and may file Chapter 11), a price increase may be quite timely.
