SUSTAINING ENGINEER
The Sustaining Engineer is responsible for performing product modifications including ECNs, drafting, documentation and prototype construction, etc. Duties include developing layouts and detailed drawings (flat, form, weld assemblies, etc.) using SolidWorks; preparation of required documentation (BOMs, detailed drawings, component specifications, packaging, specification sheets, instruction sheets and ECNs); assisting Sales/Customer Service by preparing customer drawings, BOMs and samples; interfacing with vendors and buyers to assure best design utilizing purchased components; performing standard product modifications and specials per customer orders in a timely manner and developing product line extensions, enhancements, options and accessories, etc.
This position requires an Associate Degree (minimum) in an Engineering-related principle and/or two years experience in sheet metal design and manufacturing methods; proficiency in the use of 3D CAD/CAM system (SolidWorks preferred); computer literacy (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); strong communication skills and the ability to work successfully in a team environment. Bright and enthusiastic recent grads will be considered.
