GE to Build A-lamp in USA for Walmart

It’s not just that Wal-Mart, the world’s biggest retailer, has promised to buy $50 billion more U. S.-made goods over the next decade.

Retailers and consumer products companies ranging from Brooks Brothers to Apple have launched serious efforts to stoke U.S. manufacturing, just as longstanding business benefits of overseas production, namely cheap labor, are waning.
