As the Product Manager, you will report directly to the Director of Marketing and Product Development, and will be responsible for the product planning and execution of assigned product group throughout the product lifecycle.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Establish and execute product strategies and roadmaps from concept to commercialization.
- Serve as internal expert on the competition and maintain competitive knowledge base.
- Develop core positioning, value propositions and messaging for the product.
- Set competitive pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals.
- Track product development life cycle, coordinate with production, marketing and sales to ensure a cohesive product launch and throughout the entire product life cycle.
- Train sales and customer relationship teams on new products and applications.
- Represent the company at trade association meetings and exhibits to promote product.
- Effectively manage company rebate and quality programs.
- Manager and develop a team of highly motivated employees and ensure continuous improvement of the team through coaching and counseling.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree in a marketing, engineering or related field plus 5 years of product management experience. Knowledge and experience in lighting strongly desired.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Innovative and forward thinker.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet.
- Excellent time management, organization and communications skills; oral, written and telephone.
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
- Strong analytical skills and statistical background.
- Well organized and self directed.
