Lighting Blamed for Connecticut Pedestrian Accident

A driver who allegedly struck two pedestrians Tuesday night told police the lighting on a crosswalk in the town’s historic center could be better.

Monroe Police are investigating the car-versus-pedestrians accident that occurred not far from Town Hall around 8:05.

Police said the car then struck two pedestrians who were in a crosswalk who he did not see “until it was too late. He also stated the lighting in on the crosswalk is very poor.”
