Amerlux FINO Captures Innovation Award for Cutting-Edge Architectural Lighting Technology

PIA_13.jpgFairfield, New Jersey— Amerlux CEO/President Chuck Campagna announced that FINO, the world’s first ultra shallow asymmetric luminaire that is wall mounted for optimal indirect lighting, received Architectural Products Magazine’s Production Innovation Award (PIA). Amerlux is the global leader in lighting, product innovation, manufacturing and creative solutions.

Architectural Products Product Innovation Awards (PIAs) honor innovation in the development and refinement of buildings-related products that range the gamut, from cladding systems to interior finishes. Judged by a group of 50 independent industry professionals, the program represents a mechanism to review products that their peers found innovative.

“We are proud to receive this Innovation Award for FINO, one of our latest flexible high performance architectural lighting solutions,” stated Amerlux CEO/President Chuck Campagna. “Using state of the art optics and LED technologies, the ultra-thin FINO is an achievement in the engineering of small-scale LED luminaires.”

FINO delivers the crisp comfort of indirect LED lighting in any work environment without the need of recessed downlighting and runs seamlessly across the complete length of walls without interfering with wall studs. Stunningly Thin, FINO is ideal for indirect ambient, wall wash or cove lighting applications in private offices, hotel corridors and other spaces requiring a clean architectural look and pristine ceilings. FINO is designed with an ultra-thin depth of just 5/8 inches and uses just five watts per foot. Its extruded construction and optics provide the exact fit and finish for hairline joints, as well as an extruded two-piece, trimless mud frame with gear.

An engineered, snap-in lens delivers maximum efficiency and significant light transmission with an integral reflector in a high reflectance white finish. Available in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K correlated color temperatures (CCT), FINO offers a color-rendering index (CRI) of 80, standard 0-10v dimming, a 50,000-hour life and an industry leading 10-year limited warranty.

Fixtures can be individually or continuous row-mounted using a drawer latching system that provides easy and precise joining of units for straight runs. An LED driver installs easily into walls and is accessible through the fixture for maintenance.

“Building on the success of last year’s program, our third edition of the Product Innovation Awards proves commercial building manufacturers are committed to, and are working arduously toward, delivering more sustainable products, as well as products that deliver better performance, life and affordability,” said Jim Crockett, Editorial Director for Architectural Products Magazine.
