POSITION OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Inside Sales at Kumho Electric USA, Inc. will be responsible for proactively contacting potential customers and responding to new and existing customer inquiries, identifying and closing profitable sales orders, and processing orders received. Activity also include support of inquiries from Kumho Account Representatives to provide product information, pricing, and to assist in closing a sale. Responsibility includes following through on commitments of product or information required, and proper communication of information to customers and internal staff who are supporting the customer. Other responsibilities include:

  • ​​Help customers determine the right Kumho Product to meet their needs.
  • Provide information to customers and account representatives relating to Kumho product.
  • Sell products and suggest alternative products when a customer-requested product is not available. 
  • Execute sales effort in an ethical and professional manner that will reflect favorably on the reputation of both the salesperson and the company. 
  • Close orders and sell at profitable levels. 
  • Reach sales and gross margin goals. 
  • Create and maintain solid, long-term relationships with customers. 
  • Interact with Kumho personnel to exchange customer needs information.
  • Maintain knowledge of products and their applications.
  • Understand major competitor product lines. 
  • Document lost sales and customer comments in reporting to management.
PRIMARY DUTIES/BASIC ACTIVITIES:
  • ​​Email / phone contact with current and prospective customers to develop sales
  • Maintain contact with account reps.
  • Stay abreast of current and new products.
  • Help customers with warranty claims and process RGA’s 
  • Be the communication link between US customers and Headquarters in Korea.
  • Generate daily and weekly sales and inventory reports using QuickBooks and Excel

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • College Degree (BA or BS in sales-related field of study) or GED and/or previous experience with inside and counter sales.
  • ​​Good people skills. “The customer is always right” attitude. Team player.
  • ​​Individuals with Electrical Distributor or similar business experience would be/ideal for this position.
  • ​Strong English (oral and written) communication skills and ability to understand the customers’ needs are required.
  • QuickBooks knowledge preferred, but not required
  • All interested candidates should be self motivated, sales oriented, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit.​
