Coronet, Inc., a fast-paced and growing lighting manufacturer in Northern New Jersey has an exciting opportunity available for a Junior Product Design Engineer. This candidate will help design new products and make improvements to existing lighting products with different light sources, including incandescent, fluorescent and LED.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support existing products through design changes, creating layout drawings for approval
- Bills of Material Structure; assembly documentation; installation sheets and help generate specification data sheets
- Work closely with customer service and senior engineer
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years Engineering experience, 3+ years at a lighting / LED manufacturer
- Fluent in 3D design software: Pro-Engineer / Creo, SolidWorks & AutoCad
- Understanding of light sources, ballast / drivers and lighting components; ceiling systems & architectural construction; LED knowledge a plus
- Required knowledge of sheet metal, diecast, plastic mold & extruded part design
- Good communication skills required – effective interaction / collaboration with resources
