Boston Lights Announces Two Acclaimed Speakers

The Designers Lighting Forum of New England (DLFNE) is pleased to announce that two additional lighting industry luminaries, Josh Feinstein and Edward Bartholomew, will be hosting seminars at the 2014 BOSTON LIGHTS Exposition on September 18th

Josh Feinstein will present “The anatomy of a lighting project – from concept to completion,” case studies on residential and commercial projects.  Josh is a principal at Sladen Feinstein Integrated Lighting Inc., an award-winning lighting design firm which creatively supports and enhances the intent of designers’ visions while meeting the functional needs of the end user.  He has worked as a Boston area lighting designer for the last 21 years, has appeared on PBS’ This Old House for two seasons and currently teaches advanced lighting design at New England School of Art and Design at Suffolk University. Josh’s current work includes national retail projects, university buildings, corporate offices, hospitality, science labs, and private residences.

Edward Bartholomew is a commercial lighting program manager for National Grid, one of the largest investor-owned energy companies in the world. Responsible for developing energy efficient lighting incentive programs for commercial and industrial projects, Edward is focused on advanced energy efficient technologies and strategies in order to ensure the best lighting practices and outcomes. He is an award-winning lighting designer and resource speaker on sustainable lighting issues with more than 20 years of experience in the lighting industry with a career that encompasses designing and specifying lighting, as well as teaching lighting design.

Now in its third year, Boston Lights Exposition 2014 is a biennial event taking place on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 11:00 AM-8:00 PM at the Boston Marriott Copley Place Hotel.  It features over 100 of the country’s leading lighting companies showcasing the latest in architectural lighting products for both commercial and residential spaces. Guests have the opportunity to attend AIA and IDCEC accredited seminars, such as those by Feinstein and Bartholomew, conveniently scheduled throughout the day. This year, seminars will be presented for all design professionals including interior designers and lighting designers in addition to CEU presentations for architects.

Admission to Boston Lights Exposition 2014 is free, however, registration is required. Attendees may register online or on the day of the show.  Online registration is now open through September 5, 2014.
