DES PLAINES, Ill. — May 27, 2014 — Juno Lighting Group®, a leader in high-quality commercial and residential lighting solutions, announced the new Juno® 2-inch LED Downlights and Adjustables, which deliver sophisticated aesthetics via a small-form, discreet aperture. Offering a designer look that complements upscale residential, light commercial and retail interiors, the fixtures virtually disappear into surroundings. These high quality and ultra-efficient luminaires produce over 600 lumens of brilliant white light while consuming as little as 10 watts – only 15 percent of the energy that larger, 6-inch 65 watt incandescent fixtures require.
While most small fixtures have limited light output, the new Juno 2-inch LED Downlight and Adjustable luminaries feature the latest high lumen output LED array and are binned to within a 3-step MacAdam Ellipse, exceeding ENERGY STAR® requirements. They provide superior fixture-to-fixture color consistency and are available in color temperatures of 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4100K with 80 CRI or 90 CRI minimum.
The Juno 2-inch LED fixtures permit installation in a wide range of applications due to their low profile and form factor, and are available in both round and square apertures, downlight or adjustable as well as a wide variety of trim styles and finishes. Downlights are available in cone and baffle styles, and downlights and adjustables are offered in white, black, satin nickel and brushed bronze with various combinations.
Additional features of the Juno 2-inch LED Downlights and Adjustables include:
- Superior Thermal Management: LED array is attached to die cast trim with integral heat sink to provide excellent heat transfer and ensure long life.
- Two dimmable LED drivers are available; one for 120-volt-only operation compatible with most incandescent dimmers, the other for universal 120-277 volt operation compatible with most 0-10 volt protocol dimmers.
- Three field-interchangeable optics are available to provide distributions that include 18-degree, 24-degree and 40-degree beam angles.
- The fixtures are approved for use in both insulated and non-insulated ceilings.
- Certifications: The luminaires are ENERGY STAR qualified. 90 CRI fixtures are certified to the high efficacy requirements of California Title 24. The fixtures also meet the energy code Air Leakage requirements per ASTM E283. Downlights are UL and cUL listed for wet locations.
The Juno 2-inch LED Downlights and Adjustables permit easy installation in a wide variety of applications and fit nicely within 2 x 6 ceiling joists for shallow applications. The luminaires ship with a galvanized steel plaster frame that accommodates ceiling thicknesses from ½-inch to 1-inch. A new construction mounting frame with Real Nail 3-inch telescoping bar hangers to position fixture and local wiring prior to ceiling installation is also available.
