Director of Lighting Sales

Leotek is located in California’s Silicon Valley and is celebrating over twenty years as an LED lighting manufacturer. With millions of LED products installed worldwide, Leotek offers a substantial history of proven performance. The company manufactures innovative LED lighting products for applications encompassing traffic and transit; street and area; petroleum, convenience, grocery and retail stores.

Our Company  is now seeking a Director of Lighting Sales to join our team.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Director of Lighting Sales is responsible for the development and recruitment of Sales Managers and Strategic Sales Partners to achieve sales and profit goals for Leotek lighting product lines in North America. In addition, this position has the responsibility to develop and maintain a comprehensive strategic sales plan and manage the growth of revenue and operating profit. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Achieve company’s sales and profit goals for lighting products in North America.
  • Manage, recruit and develop Regional and Market Sales Managers.
  • Oversee annual sales plan, forecasts and human resource plan
  • Communicate to product development group requirements for new products and product changes.
  • Maintain continuous communication with sales force to ensure customer needs are being addressed
  • Develop and monitor annual departmental budget to ensure cost goals are achieved.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree holder, preferably in electrical engineering or business
  • 5+ years sales management experience in the commercial/industrial lighting industry utilizing a lighting sales representative distribution channel.
  • Knowledge of outdoor lighting, luminaires, photometry, LED technology and commercial/industrial luminaire distribution channels.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
  • Proven leadership skills to lead a team

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel 20 – 30%  – including occasional international travel
