National Account Manager- Retail

Overall Purpose and Objectives:

The National Account Manager overall responsibility is to create opportunities to sell JLG brands with new retailers while growing and maintaining relationships with key existing accounts. Retailers that represent an opportunity to sell JLG products include “Big Box” stores, national showroom accounts and national distribution channel partners. NASM will work closely with key accounts to understand their customer needs and communicate product opportunities to JLG.  This person will also work closely with the Product Directors to create new products that fit the retailer’s business model in order to gain shelf space and increase JLG footprint on their dotcom websites. 

Key responsibilities shall include, but not limited to the following:

  • Manage Key Accounts – Home Depot and Grainger
  • Create sales plans to achieve sales forecasts and growth goals
  • Facilitate Product Line Reviews (PLR) for key accounts and assist with other DIY accounts.
  • Implementation of new programs at all Retail Accounts
  • Work with Product Directors to create new DIY products
  • Analyze product assortments and make recommendations for changes
  • Work with Marketing to help develop POP, displays, etc.
  • Communicate forecasting requirements with Purchasing and Inventory Planning
  • Assist in training at Juno Corporate and at customer locations
  • Create PPT presentations for Key Accounts
  • Analyze point of sale data
  • Manage data collection for dot com opportunities at retailers
  • Monitor margin reports and communicate issues to Director of Retail Sales

Other Responsibilities

  • This position will work with Juno cross functional teams.
  • Partner with the Director of Retail Sales in managing all the activities required to execute programs that drive sales.
  • Areas this person would be working with include, but not limited to; sales, marketing, product management, purchasing, logistics, manufacturing and finance. 
  • Position requires good detail management skills.
  • Work with Director of Sales to facilitate functional team meetings, jointly set goals, and communicate team initiatives and goals within the Juno organization. 
  • Work with Juno employees, our customers and Juno agents to drive results.

Qualifications

  • DIY Channel or Lighting Sales experience – must have one or both would be ideal
  • Ability to wire products or construct displays – a huge plus
  • Open to travel – 40-50%
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze data and provide succinct recommendations to Director of Retail Sales
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree
