Amerlux® Offers 116 Title 24 Compliant Lighting Fixtures

OAKLAND, New Jersey — Amerlux® CEO and President Chuck Campagna announces that the company currently offers 116 point-source lighting fixtures that are compliant with Title 24 regulations for nonresidential buildings including retail, hospitality and commercial applications. The California Energy Code, or Title 24, Part 6 of the California Code of Regulations, was established in 1978 in response to a legislative mandate to reduce California’s energy consumption. The standards are updated periodically to allow consideration and possible incorporation of new energy efficiency technologies and methods.

“We are proud that 116 of our fixtures are engineered to meet the high efficacy requirements for Title 24 qualification,” stated Mr. Campagna. “Many of our popular families, including Hornet, Cylindrix and Evoke, comply with these important efficiency standards.”

Integral LED luminaires or LED Engines using five watts or less must have a minimum efficacy (lumens per watt) of 30; those using 5 to 15 watts must have a minimum efficacy of 45; those using over 15 to 40 watts must have a minimum efficacy of 60; and those over 40 watts must have a minimum efficacy of 90. Amerlux LED families, which comply with Title 24 regulations for commercial structures, are listed below.

Classix® Downlights and Wall Washers, offered with and without lenses, present a unique blend of architectural form and function for both new construction and remodel projects. Fixtures include high output and a variety of beam options for large spaces.

Cylindrix® III (C3) Mini Horizontal, Vertical, and Recessed/Semi-Recessed Trimmed and Trimless Multiples are powerful, compact luminaires that enhance your design aesthetics. Tiny, passively cooled with a concealed heat sink and full dimming capacity, C3M delivers brilliant colors, crispest whites, and a patent pending, field changeable optical system for new construction and retrofit projects.

Evoke® 4.75″ Round Downlight LED in trimmed and trimless styles
feature specification fit, finish and attention to detail since its introduction in 2006. With the current advancements in lighting technology Evoke® 4.75″ delivers the performance, energy savings and color you expect from a spec-grade LED downlight and is suitable for a variety of lighting schemes featuring general, accent, wall wash and display applications.

Hornet High Power (Hornet-HP family) features Recessed and Semi-Recessed trimmed and trimless luminaires for both new construction and remodeling projects. Delivering great performance, energy efficiency, and maximum control, the downlights deliver the output of the 20w ceramic metal halide, but with the control and crisp color of the MR16 halogen. These fixtures
meet the needs of the hospitality market, while also making the HDL-HP series an option for commercial environments. In addition, Hornet® HP and HP Horizontal LED track mounted luminaires are high performing alternatives for designers, who need to replace the 20W ceramic metal halide fixture. Small and compact, the Hornet HP delivers the power of the 20W CMH but surpasses it with enhanced control, instant-on, dimmability and long lifespan.

Mini Cavaletto 4″ x 6″ LED is a compact, recessed adjustable wall wash luminaire for commercial and retail environments. The unique optical design allows for 2:1 fixture to wall spacing while providing uniform light on the vertical plane. The high-performance optical head with various wattage options can be flush with the ceiling line to provide general illumination or pulled down (up to a 45-degree tilt) for wall washing or menu board lighting.

Murro® LED Horizontal and Vertical
fixtures are small in size, high in output, and outperform others, time after time. With unique optics, code-ready dimmability, and availability in vertical and horizontal mounting options, Murro reduces costs dramatically. The optical design allows for 2:1 fixture to wall spacing while providing uniform light on the vertical plane. It’s a light so powerful, walls have never looked better.

ACL track current limiters  – The Current Limiting Device controls the amount of electrical load placed on a run of track and has an integrated rocker-style circuit breaker switch with On/Off markings and an integral track connector that is keyed for polarity by order-based on-feed direction. The cover is molded of UL-approved polycarbonate and is color-matched for use with Global GES, TEK and HTEK track systems.

Contour® Vertical LED and Recessed Multiples feature an architecturally styled mix of soft curves and shape edges that offer high performance accent lighting for retail and supermarket displays with excellent beam control, beam spread options and aesthetics.

Fiato LED Horizontal and Recessed Multiples are specifically designed to target the 39w ceramic metal halide (CMH) lamp and deliver over 2000 lumens of light from a single point LED source. Perfect for accenting from a high ceiling with high center beam candlepower (32,000+ CBCP) 10° spot optics, Fiato creates a more pleasing white light that helps pop color on produce and merchandise alike.

Producer® Track Wall Washer, designed with a unique lens, provides even illumination across your display, from top to bottom. Available in one or two foot lengths, it is offered at 20w per foot. 1- and 3-circuit Global track, and busway mountings are available. Options include various color temperatures, a choice of single point mounting and ELV dimming.

About Title 24

The California Energy Commission adopted the April 2008 Standards changes to the Building Energy Efficiency Standards for a number of compelling reasons, as seen below.

1. Provide an adequate, reasonably priced, and environmentally sound supply of energy.

2. Reduce greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels by 2020.

3. Ensure energy efficiency resources are the first choice for meeting energy needs.

4. Upgrade Building Energy Efficiency Standards to reduce electricity and peak demand, and recognize the role of reducing energy related to meeting California’s water needs and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

5. Include aggressive energy efficiency measures into updates of state building codes.

6. Improve the energy efficiency of nonresidential buildings through aggressive standards and aid builders with cost effective value engineering.
