Lights Out: KY Couple Accused of Stealing 34,000 feet of Wire Along Interstate

Stripped copper from highway lighting systems has darkened sections of Interstate 64.

Highway lighting was knocked out after copper was removed from lighting systems at interchanges on I-64 in Bath and Carter County, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

Brian Bentley and Cindy Ferguson of Clark County were indicted last month by a Franklin County grand jury in connection with the stolen copper.
