Director of Global Technical Support–The Pompeo Group

Our client—a global lighting fixture manufacturer with some exceptionally exciting projects in Asia—is seeking an extroverted, highly motivated, quite outgoing, persistent and positive Director of Global Support to provide support for their key international distributors and customize solutions throughout Asia and the Middle East as you work on some of the most prestigious projects in the world!

You will use your great follow-up skills, strong relationships with specifiers in the United States and distributors in Asia, your positive, can-do attitude combined with your love of travel and adventure and your ability to work in a competitive, fast-paced environment as you become the ‘face’ of our client with their major international distribution partners; you’ll be involved in entertaining your customers as well!   Your ability to provide excellent technical support will come in handily as you help the lighting designer or architect get the right solution for their project while working closely with your distributor!  You will work with lighting designers to resolve issues, provide solutions and design systems, also.  This is a real global, life-changing opportunity for the right person as you work with customers in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Dubai, Thailand, Malaysia, Qatar and Vietnam (among others).

Our ideal candidate is currently a Product Manager, Applications Manager or Engineer. However, an outgoing lighting designer with a strong technical aptitude, good knowledge of lighting systems and the ability to perform lighting calculations will definitely be considered, also! Our ideal candidate also can think on his/her feet and work on complex lighting systems and should be able to travel overseas on short notice.  DMX experience is a real plus, as is familiarity with lighting calculations. This is not a sales role or about increasing market share—this is about providing excellent technical support!   BS/BA Degree is highly preferred (but not essential); 50% travel to Asia (Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Macau) and Middle East (primarily Dubai, Qatar and Saudi Arabia).  Must be willing to relocate to Australia.
