Congratulations Paul Tarricone on LD+A in Big 95!

New York – Lighting Design + Application (LD+A) magazine, published by the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), has been placed on The Big 95, a list of the most acclaimed business-to-business magazines worldwide for 2016 by Trade, Association and Business Publications International (TABPI). The Big 95 was compiled based on data from the first 12 years of TABPI’s annual Tabbie Awards competition, which celebrates excellence in editorial and design work across 18 categories each year. The new list was established to recognize consistency over the years, drawing on the number of Gold, Silver, Bronze and Honorable Mention awards each publication received between 2004 and 2015. The list includes publications from the U.S., New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, Singapore, the U.K. and Canada.

In response to the announcement, Paul Tarricone, Editor and Publisher of LD+A commented, “LD+A is honored to be recognized by TABPI in this global awards program. Being named one of ‘The Big 95’ is a testament to the dedication and talent of our editors, art directors and contributing writers.”

“I am very pleased to see Paul and his editorial-design team receive recognition for the care they take in putting together the magazine each month. LD+A serves an important function not only for the Society, but also for the lighting community at large by providing articles about lighting design best practices and serving as a vehicle for informing readers about new lighting products, the latest technical developments, and industry trends and news. Congratulations to the LD+A team for a job well done,” said Tim Licitra, Executive Vice President of the IES.

LD+A has been continually published since its inception in 1971 and is a benefit of membership in the IES or is available as a stand-alone subscription. Information about LD+A is available at https://www.ies.org/lda/members_contact.cfm
