Account Manager–Northern and Eastern Texas, Eureka Lighting

Position:  Account Manager, Northern and Eastern Texas – USA

Regions:  Dallas and Houston Metro Area 

Direct Reports To:  Central Regional Sales Manager

Overview

Eureka Lighting, a well respected Canadian based manufacturer of contemporary decorative lighting fixtures for the specification market is currently offering an excellent career opportunity as a territory Account Manager to work with our manufacturing sales agents to develop new market opportunities, monitor territory activities, trends, issues and opportunities for growth, and increase market penetration while achieving sales and profitability goals.

The Account Manager will preferably be home based and reside in the Dallas or Houston metro area.      This opportunity would be a perfect fit for someone ready to learn and be trained. The ideal candidate could be a current manufacturer representative in the lighting industy or other industries visiting architects and designers. Good candidates could also be an inside salesperson with few years of experience, ready to get to the next level and looking for a position leading to a sales management career.

  • Excel in a fast-paced environment and is a quick study
  • Experience at the specification level with architects, designers would be an asset but not a must. 
  • Prior experience in commercial/residential lighting sales an asset but not a must
  • Conduct sales calls to specifiers involved with decorative and architectural grade products (architects, lighting designers, interior designers)
  • Maintain and enhance open lines of communication, solidify relationships with customers and our agent partner
  • Able to heavily promote new products while seeking new opportunities and applications
  • A knowledge of buying groups and National Accounts would be an asset
  • Schedule and roll out new products and promotion programs
  • Coordinate all special requests and projects with Eureka’s internal staff 

Education and Work Experience Required/Preferred 

  • Minimum of one year experience in the lighting industry an asset but not a must
  • Prior outside sales experience would be an asset but not a must
  • Proactive approach in anticipating market developments
  • Excellent speaking, writing, and presentation skills are required
  • Bachelor’s degree an asset but not a must
