David Yassell, of Stan Deutsch Associate, reports a bit of a nightmare leaving San Diego. His flight was scheduled to depart Thursday, at 9 p.m. on Jet Blue to JFK. After sitting on the runway for a few hours, the plane returned with an indicator light issue. Once it was supposedly fixed, it departed the gate again, only to return with the same issue.
At 1:00 a.m. Friday morning the flight was cancelled. As David tried to rebook on Jet Blue the only departure openings to any New York airport were late on Friday. All Jet Blue Friday morning flights to New York were booked.
David reserved a rental car and drove to LAX where he caught a 6:30 a.m. flight, landing at JFK at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
