Technical Support Engineer–Cordelia Lighting

Cordelia Lighting, a rapidly growing lighting manufacturer, currently has an exciting career opportunity for a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our engineering team. 

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be involved in developing lighting fixtures and for someone looking to gain valuable experience working in a fast paced team environment 

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the development of and final testing of new lighting fixtures.
  • Performs in-house testing of new lighting fixtures using testing and measuring equipment.
  • Monitors project status and estimated time of completion of light fixtures being tested and documents testing methods and results.
  • Advises and makes recommendations on required revisions to products in order to comply with UL standards.

Qualifications:      

  • Associates degree in Electronics or equivalent and a minimum five years technical support experience.
  • Working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Working knowledge of Underwriters Laboratory (UL) standards and procedures for lighting fixtures.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian Standards Association (CSA) standards and procedures for lighting fixtures.
  • Working knowledge of the lighting industry standards, terminology and products.
  • General knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of basic engineering and mathematical principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Good communications skills both verbal and written. 
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, Internet, and Email.
