Strategic Accounts Manager for Retail and Property Management – Cree

We currently have an opening for a Strategic Accounts Manager-Retail/Property Management within our Sales group. The ideal candidate will be located anywhere in the USA near a major airport, and drive revenue through solicitation and growth of new and existing Cree Lighting Customers.

What can you do for Cree?

The primary focus of this position is the development and management of Cree Lighting, Strategic Account end-user customers.  Additionally, this position will be responsible for the management of multiple strategic account distributor relationships.

  • Achievement of Cree Lighting sales and profit targets.
  • Sales with key Strategic Accounts will be kept clearly in focus and on track.
  • Develop annual business plans for each Strategic Account end user and National Account distributors supported by hard revenue targets.
  • Track and communicate competitive factors, trends, issues and opportunities at regional and national levels.
  • Maintain a strong new business pipeline and relentlessly pursue opportunities to broaden our markets.
  • Maintain Salesforce.com records completely and accurately ensuring proper coordination with factory production.
  • Establish productive, professional and consultative relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts and with associated channel partners.
  • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations. Work closely with Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
  • Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
  • Coordination of customer purchases through existing or new distributors and contractors.
  • Engagement with Cree distributors as well as cold calling on potential customers, to grow end-user customer base within the retail and commercial property vertical.

What you need for success:

  • 8+ years of sales and management experience (sales and/or key account) in the lighting industry.
  • Demonstrated history of key account sales/business development success.
  • Computer skills – Outlook, Excel, Internet Research, PowerPoint & Salesforce.com
  • This position requires travel nationwide of up to and sometimes above 50%.

Highly preferred skills and certifications:

  • 2+ years of Management responsibilities of/for National Account distribution
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Strong problem solving and conflict management skills
  • Ability to gain trust and respect from customers’ managerial and sales teams
