EXCLUSIVE:  MUST CREDIT EDISONREPORT.

With immediate effect, LEDVANCE is implementing a change in its company leadership team. With confirmation of the global HQ to remain in Germany, the Management Board will increasingly work out of its facilities in Garching, outside of Munich. As a consequence, the company has decided to replace the current CEO of LEDVANCE GmbH, Jes Munk Hansen, who is located in Wilmington, Massachusetts, with a CEO permanently located in Garching.

Mr. Minning, Chairman of the Supervisory Board states: “On behalf of the Board, I wish to thank Jes Munk Hansen for his leadership during this defining period of the company. As CEO, Jes Munk Hansen has been leading the development of LEDVANCE’s new strategy and organizational layout. With Hansen as CEO, the company was carved-out from German lighting conglomerate OSRAM AG, established as a fully separate operating company and sold to a Chinese consortium. In this new structure and business model, LEDVANCE will be able to continue developing its global leadership in the lighting industry.”

Jes Munk Hansen: “The last four years have been a unique and exciting period for LEDVANCE and everyone involved in setting the new direction for the company. I am very proud of what we have accomplished in a very short time period and I am confident that LEDVANCE is on a strong path”.

The search for an external CEO, who will operate out of Garching, is underway. Until a new CEO has been appointed, Ruediger Tibbe, Chief Transformation Officer of LEDVANCE, will act as Chairman of the executive board.
