EdisonReport has learned that Lutron will announce on Monday, 16 APR, that it has acquired a lighting company based in Texas. The company being acquired has a showroom in New York with a very strong position in that market. EdisonReport has expected Lutron, a cash-rich company, to acquire lighting companies given Leviton’s aggressive acquisition strategy. Leviton acquired Con-Tech in 2016 and Birchwood Lighting in 2017.
Lutron is one of the largest privately held companies in the U.S.
