ExternalDrive Type C Tubes Press Release

For immediate release
NORTH WALES, PA: August 28, 2018 – Keystone Technologies, a leading manufacturer of quality driven lighting solutions for over 70 years, continues to expand their line of LED tubes with the introduction of ExternalDrive Type C LED tubes. These new Type C tubes operate with a remote driver, rather than using an integrated driver or an external ballast as a power source.
“Our ExternalDrive Type C tubes are the ideal choice for customers who want to update systems that are using older fluorescent ballasts, but they prefer not to install Type B line voltage tubes,” said Josh Brown, VP of Distributor Sales. “Our Type C tubes are designed to work with specific Keystone drivers, which guarantees system compatibility, and ensures both high system efficacy and high performance.”
ExternalDrive Type C tubes can be integrated with extensive dimming and control functionality, and are compatible with Keystone LED emergency backup solutions. Type C tubes are also eligible for unique rebate opportunities that require the retrofitted fixture to include an external LED Driver. In retrofits, the driver replaces the existing fluorescent ballast.
“The combination of impressive energy savings, superior performance, and potential rebate opportunities makes Type C tubes an important new product for Keystone,” concluded Brown.
